Philosophy as a board member: I strive to put into practice the philosophy of keeping the message simple and direct. I also believe in communication. Listening is one of the easiest traits to be overlooked, yet it can carry the highest emotional price. Everything we do sends a message and I believe by listening we affirm the other person's worth and state in obvious terms that they matter. I will bring to this position more than twenty-five years of experiences that have shaped me into a person who can look at a situation from many different angles and balance the wants and needs of the individual or group with the resources that are available. I am delighted to have the opportunity to be a part of the Education Minnesota governing board.
