The 2003 Representative Convention adopted these action items.

Action Item A
To approve the new election district configuration effective September 1, 2003, as recommended by the Education Minnesota Governing Board including the change of the MN River Valley Special Education Cooperative Local to election district L (from election district N) not accurately reflected in the January 11, 2003 version of the election district map.

Action Item 1
That Education Minnesota be authorized to spend up to one million dollars of the crisis fund principal on an advertising campaign to foster positive attitudes among the citizenry toward public education in Minnesota, provide adequate motivation for state government to invest wisely in the future through adequate and fair educational funding, and reestablish public school educators in the eyes of those they serve as highly qualified, dedicated professionals who are poorly compensated.
