Philosophy as a board member: I am one of the first generation of teachers who has only been in a merged teacher's union. So for me, union has always meant all of us, working together, for our students and profession. Education Minnesota has made me a better educator and inspired me to work toward improving our profession and the lives of our students. As a board member, I want to help move that tradition of unity, innovation and vision forward.

It's time for us to inspire and empower our members to fight for the very soul of our profession. The best way to do that is to reconnect with the best parts of being in a union - the camaraderie of our peers, the joy of fighting the good fight and the power we have in unity.
