Yoga Calm: An Integrated Approach to Wellness
10:15-11:20 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15
Room 3
Learn about the effects of mindfulness and yoga-based principles on classroom achievement and wellness, and how to bring these principles to students of all ages in one-to-one, small-group and classroom settings. Through lecture and experiential learning, we will highlight the five principles of the Yoga Calm curriculum (stillness, listening, grounding, strength and community) and ways to utilize the skills throughout the school day. You will also use reflection to develop strategies that you can implement immediately in your educational setting and your work with families.
