Delegates to gather in Atlanta for 2013 NEA Representative Assembly

The 2013 National Education Association Representative Assembly takes place July 1-6 in Atlanta, Ga.

The NEA has emailed the local delegate report forms to all local presidents. Please complete your local delegate report form and mail it to Rita Privratsky, state coordinator, Education Minnesota, 41 Sherburne Ave., St. Paul, MN 55103, by April 10.

All delegates will receive information packets in mid-April that include a housing form, flight information, agenda, and forms to complete for shirts, night-out tickets, dinners, etc.

The Education Minnesota hotel will be the Omni Hotel at CNN Center, 100 CNN Center, Atlanta, GA 30303,
phone: 404-659-000; fax: 404-525-5050. Room rate is $165 for a single or double. You must make reservations by completing the housing form in your packet; you cannot make reservations directly with the hotel.

The Omni Hotel at CNN Center is connected to the Georgia World Congress Center (site of the NEA RA).
For convenient arrivals or departures, Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport is a 15-minute commute (12 miles).
