General information

The Education Minnesota Professional Conference is held at Saint Paul RiverCentre in downtown St. Paul on the third Thursday and Friday of October each year. It includes a full day of activities on Thursday and a half-day program on Friday.

When: Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, 7:30 a.m.-3:50 p.m.; and Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, 8:45 a.m.-noon 

Where: Saint Paul RiverCentre, 175 W. Kellogg Blvd.

Admission: Free and open to the public

Directions

Saint Paul RiverCentre, St. Paul's major convention facility, is located on the St. Paul riverfront next to Xcel Energy Center.

• Metro Transit - the RiverCentre area is served by Routes 63, 54, 94BCD, 16 and 21. Buses board on Sixth Street and Minnesota Street.
• Central Corridor construction updates - please note that light rail construction and utility work may affect access to parts of St. Paul, including downtown.

Parking

Thursday only:

Free parking and shuttle bus service 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at Minnesota State Fairgrounds, Como Avenue west of Snelling, across from the Coliseum

• Handicap-accessible van is available; speak to the on-site bus coordinator when you arrive at the parking lot. 
• Please note that the parking lot at Saint Paul College is not available this year for Professional Conference parking.  

Thursday and Friday:

• RiverCentre Ramp, 150 W. Kellogg Blvd.
• Science Museum of Minnesota ramp, 120 W. Kellogg Blvd.

Food

Thursday:

• During conference hours, Wildside Caterers operates a cafe serving hot and cold breakfast and lunch items in the Kellogg lobby on the street level.
• The Headwaters Cafe is also open daily for breakfast and lunch at the east end of the Kellogg lobby. Wireless Internet access is available.
• A concession stand serving fast food is open in the exhibit hall.
• Specialty coffee is available at the Blue Neon kiosk on the upper level near the ballrooms.

Friday:

• The Headwaters Cafe is open daily for breakfast and lunch at the east end of the Kellogg lobby. Wireless Internet access is available.
