Raise funds for education projects at annual ESI golf tournament

Enjoy a day on the links Aug. 8 while raising funds for a great cause -- grants to members to improve teaching and learning for Minnesota students.

The 18th Annual Education Minnesota ESI Charitable Golf Tournament takes place Aug. 8 at Prestwick Golf Course, Woodbury. The tournament has raised more than $400,000 for the Education Minnesota Foundation for Excellence in Teaching and Learning since its inception in 1994.

The tournament starts with a lunch buffet before a shotgun start to a scramble tournament. Activities at various holes give you the chance to win prizes. The tournament ends with dinner, awards and prizes. The winning team takes home a traveling trophy.

  • Location: Prestwick Golf Course, 9555 Wedgewood Drive, Woodbury
  • Time: 11 a.m. lunch and registration, 12:30 p.m. shotgun start
  • Cost: $150/individual, $500/team. Cost includes greens fee, cart, lunch, dinner and prizes.
  • Registration deadline: July 29.

The tournament is open to golfers of all abilities. If you want to enjoy a day of golf in the company of your colleagues, as well as local leaders and others, don’t miss this event, which benefits Minnesota educators and students. You can sign up with a foursome or as an individual and be placed in a foursome.
