Raise your hand for education May 3!
We’ve designated May 3, National Teacher Day, as “Raise Your Hand for Education Day.” Our goal is to have you raise your hand, as well as every Minnesota educator, parent and community member. Your "pledge" can be as simple as “I raise my hand to helping each one of my students succeed.”
Please help us show a strong, unified voice in support of our students and schools. Make your "pledge" today!
HOW TO:
1) Go online and make a pledge.
• To submit a pledge, log on to www.IRaiseMyHand.com and roll your mouse over the “I Raise My Hand” icon in the center of the page.
• Click “Add your own pledge” and fill out the required fields, including first name, last name, email, zip code and what you’re pledging.
• Then click on the box that says “I agree to the terms and conditions” and “submit pledge.”
2) Share your pledge with friends and family and ask them to make one of their own. The more people raising their hands for education, the more we can demonstrate a strong, unified voice to support our schools.
3) Have some fun with it! On National Teacher Day, throw a “pledge party” in your school, home or community using the helpful hints in the box to the upper right.
