Education Minnesota members who did not apply for flood assistance last fall may apply for new funds to replace personal items or instructional materials. The application deadline is April 25.
Below are guidelines.
- The grant amount will be determined by individual needs.
- Any expense, repair or replacement covered by insurance is not eligible.
- Classroom materials are eligible for reimbursement.
- Eligible personal loss items are those necessary for repairing a house and basic home needs: electricity, furnace, sheet rock, etc.
- Furnishings are not included.
You must include with the grant application copies of receipts for items and services already completed or price quotes for items and services not yet purchased.
Send your completed application form to Pat Reisenger, Education Minnesota, 41 Sherburne Ave., St. Paul, MN 55103, by 4 p.m. April 25.
Thanks to members' generosity, nearly $13,000 in donations have been distributed to members who suffered from the flooding in southeastern Minnesota last fall.
