With potential shutdown, Department of Education urges educators to renew licenses ASAP
Due to the potential government shut-down, educators whose licenses expire this summer are encouraged to submit materials for licensure renewal ASAP.
The Division of Educator Licensing at the Minnesota Department of Education notes that there is a 48-hour turnaround for renewals submitted to the online system. At the time of submission, the educator’s clock hours must already be approved by the local committee.
If it appears we are headed for a government shutdown, the online licensing system will not be available after 5 p.m. June 28. You must submit your license renewal by then.
