Mastering RTI: A step-by-step approach

The National Education Association is pleased to announce a new resource for educators available through the NEA Academy this fall: "Mastering RTI: A Step-by-Step Approach."

As an educator, you don't have to struggle alone to help lower-achieving students. Building an RTI process and RTI team in your school will logically and methodically address the needs of all students as soon as they begin to fall behind.

Response to Intervention (RTI) is a general education process for addressing the achievement gap using data to identify and support students who need more help. It offers a process that uses interventions very purposefully. These interventions are designed and implemented not only by individual teachers, but also by a whole team of educators.

This online professional development program will help all educators and administrators develop or improve an RTI process in their schools. The implementation begins by identifying things you are already doing and repurposing them to use in RTI. This program will take you through RTI step-by-step.

Total video time is approximately six hours, including activities/assignments/group discussions and assessments.
