Discuss the latest in policy and teaching practice at Dec. 3 seminar

Designed for all interested Education Minnesota members, Hot Topics seminars provide a focus on current topics affecting teachers and students in Minnesota schools. This seminar will include new information, guest speakers, questions and answers, and the latest in policy and teaching practice.

Reflective Practice: Practical and Productive or Just Something Else to Do?
Of interest to all teachers preparing to renew a teaching license, local continuing education committees, staff development committee members and local leaders. Come to clarify the policy and requirements, discover how to translate the research into smart teaching practice that will support your work with students.

Date:  Dec. 3
Location:  Doubletree by Hilton, 7800 Normandale Blvd., Minneapolis
Agenda: 9-9:30 a.m. -- registration, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. -- seminar speakers and sessions (lunch provided)

Education Minnesota will pay for one double hotel room for two participants from each local union that requires driving more than 50 miles. You may book a single room by personally paying the difference.

The seminar is open to all members; register by Nov. 19. Participants receive six hours of CEUs upon approval by the local continuing education committee.
